We want to give you a high-quality service. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service or our fees, please tell us. We do not charge you for handling a complaint.
How to complain
Please raise your concern first with the person responsible for your matter. If you prefer, or if they cannot resolve it, please contact:
Alper Deniz, Managing Partner
B&D Global Law Limited, Fourth Floor, 30 Bedford Street, London WC2E 9ED
[email protected]
It helps us if you tell us why you are unhappy, what you would like us to do to put things right, and how you would like us to contact you.
What we will do
- We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 days, record it in our complaints register and tell you how long we expect it to take to resolve.
- We will investigate your complaint and, where helpful, offer to discuss it with you within 21 days.
- We will send you our written response within 28 days of receiving your complaint. If we need longer, we will explain why, agree a revised timescale with you where we can, and keep you updated on progress.
- We aim to resolve every complaint within eight weeks.
Complaints about our bills
If your complaint is about our bill, you may also have the right to apply to the court for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974. Strict time limits apply. If you apply to the court for an assessment, the Legal Ombudsman may not be able to consider a complaint about the same bill.
The Legal Ombudsman
If we have not resolved your complaint to your satisfaction within eight weeks, or you are unhappy with our final response, you may be able to ask the Legal Ombudsman to consider it. The Legal Ombudsman can help individuals and some small businesses, charities, clubs and trusts (for example, businesses with fewer than 10 employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet of no more than €2 million). Larger businesses are not usually eligible.
You must normally bring your complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of our final written response, and within one year of the problem happening or of when you should reasonably have known about it.
